The Archives and Special Collections (ASC) collects, organizes, preserves and provides access to unique, historical and rare primary sources that document the history and culture of AUB, Lebanon, the Arab World and the region at large. ASC’s robust collections span centuries of knowledge and research produced about and from the region, in different formats (written, spoken, illustrated and/or composed). Our collections include more than 1,800 manuscripts; several hundred rare books; around 10,000 volumes of theses, projects, and dissertations going back to 1906; 11,500 posters; 1,200 postcards; 2,000 maps; 100,000 photographs; and 1,200 linear feet of archival material, including papers of famous intellectuals (Jirji Zaydan; Asad Rustum; Constantine Zurayq, etc.)

Our Online Exhibits allow our user community the opportunity to enjoy highlights of some of our collections. Check them out: they are updated often!
